About Me:
I guess I can describe myself as a follower/fan of Ken Wilber's Integral theory, combining the External and Internal views of the Individual and the Collective of which the individual is part with a development-model such as (but not limited to) Spiral Dynamics.
In those terms, I am trying to find a balance between my physical, rational, emotional and spiritual sides, currently more leaning towards the rational (as made clear in the first part of this text, I guess), but very much in progress to develop the other three sides equally: emotions have been booming in the past few years, physically I take care of myself doing fitness and being a vegetarian and spiritually I am trying to integrate practices like meditation into my life.
Developmentally, my basics are covered in having found (vegetarian) food and shelter (a house of my own). The next stage (magic) is quite a gap, although I have my superstitions and enjoy seeing friends be visited by their ancestors (Winti :-)). Next big gap is the fact that I do not enjoy idols, hierarchies, the army, Lonsdale-types, but I do know how to defend myself when needed. The formal stage was covered by my upbringing as a Christian, much later followed by studies of the rest of the world religion's (I do sometimes meditate, have read the Koran several times and do know
Al-Fatiha by heart). Quickly followed up by my business-career and entrepeneurship, which made me a communications-guru (most things in companies go wrong due to lack of communication - which is why I went on and started studying Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)). The environment and others are close to my heart - empathy and care are an integral part of who I am.
However, I do believe that I feel most at ease in Integral thinking, i.e. I see the necessity of having all those levels in my luggage to use where appropriate, depending on the people I am dealing with. Plus see the world as one non-dual manifestation of our shared souls.
